      3. to send you marketing communications and product updates (legal basis: consent, provided when you opt in to receive communications);
      4. to analyse website traffic and usage patterns to improve the Website (legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how visitors use the Website);
      5. to maintain the security and integrity of the Website (legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the Website and its users);
      6. to comply with applicable legal obligations (legal basis: legal obligation).

    7. Data Retention

    1. We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law. Specifically:
      1. Waitlist data: retained until the HypePipe platform launches and you either convert to a registered user or request deletion, whichever occurs first;
      2. Contact form submissions: retained for up to 24 months after the enquiry has been resolved, then deleted;
      3. Marketing email lists: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion;
      4. Analytics data: retained in accordance with Google Analytics' data retention settings (currently set to 14 months).
    2. When personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

    8. Data Security

    1. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, and disclosure. These measures include:
      1. encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL;
      2. encryption of data at rest in our database;
      3. access controls limiting who within our organisation can access personal information;
      4. regular review of our security practices.
    2. While we take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information.
    3. In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988.

    10. Marketing Communications

We will only send you marketing communications where you have provided your express consent (for example, by subscribing through our Website) or where we hold inferred consent in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). For individuals in the EEA or UK, marketing communications are sent only with your explicit opt-in consent as required under the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive.

    3. Opting out of marketing communications does not affect transactional emails (such as waitlist confirmations or responses to your contact form submissions).
